Introduction , Definition of ICT’s, the impact of ICT’s on tourism, E-tourism concepts, e-tourism domain, the tourism system and ICT’s, ICT’s competitiveness and strategy, role of ICT tourism demand and supply.

Fundamentals of computers:

Introduction, architecture, classification, computer networks, the concept of Hardware & Software, use of Hardware and Software in tourism organizations.
Application of ICT in tourism and hospitality. Digital marketing in tourism.

Information Technology in tourism

Role of Computers in Tourism- Airline, Railways, cargo, travel retailing.

E-tourism:

Introduction, historical development, E-tourism players, E-tourism in India, concept of E-commerce, E-mail, E-ticket, EFT, E-security and E-conferencing.
Computer reservation system, introduction, evolution & Need for CRS, Amadeus Software

Tourism Mobile Apps:

Concept, nature, characteristics and scope, mobile application related to hotel and various payment gateways (case studies on OYO and Trivago)
