This course will enable the students to acquaint students with the management concept, principles, school of management thoughts and functions of management.

CO13: Explore the concepts of management, along with the functions, principles, roles, and skills of a manager across different levels of management.

CO14: Compare and contrast the schools of thought in management, and emphasizing their contributions and implications for organizational practices

CO15: Analyze the concepts MBO and MBE, alongside evaluating decision making processes

CO16: Develop an understanding of organizational concepts including authority, responsibility, delegation, centralization, decentralization, and span of control, alongside evaluating various organizational structures.

CO17: Integrate conceptual understanding and practical application to analyze the nature, types, processes, and techniques of organizational control alongside examining change management.

CO18: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction.

Organization Structures: Forms of Organizational Structures, Formal and informal Organization, Features, Merits and Demerits.

Controlling: Nature of control in organizations, Types of control, Steps in control process, Controlling Techniques. Change management: Concept, Features, Lewin’s three step model, Resistance to change and Overcoming Resistance to Change
