Objective/ Purpose: It was meant to impart required knowledge about departmental activities that will take place in an academic year

Details :  An Orientation Programme was organized for the New students :Tourism department to make them aware of different academic activities like CA Test, Assignments, Class activities and Attendance posting procedure. Student were informed about syllabi, Continuous Assessment and its pattern, marking schemes, attendance, assignment, class activities to be organized on time to time in current session.  This orientation program was beneficial for new comers who can understand the scope of tourism related field, subjects and career opportunities. Student were informed various subjected to be studied in Management of Tourism Business and Career Oriented and Skill development courses and their significance related to current trends.  The resource person for the orientation program were Dr. Deepika singh (Associate professor).

Outcome of department orientation:

An Orientation Programme proved helpful to new students: Tourism department to as it cleared their anxiety about course structure and academic activities like CA Test, Assignments, Class activities and Attendance posting procedure. Student properly came to understand  about syllabi, Continuous Assessment and its pattern, marking schemes, attendance, assignment, class activities to be organized on time to time in current session.  This orientation program proved beneficial for new comers who can understand the scope of tourism related field, subjects and career opportunities. Student were informed several papers to be studied in Management of Tourism Business and Career Oriented and Skill development courses and their significance related to current trends.
