Details : India is celebrating 75 years of its independence as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.  The celebrations started with the launch of Dandi Yatra by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 12th March, 2021 and all the Union Ministries/Departments/Organizations are planning different activities for the 75-week long celebrations of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. 

In association with the same The Ninth Episode of the series, dedicated to ‘Incredible India through the lens of Cine Tourism’  held on 30th April 2022 from 1100-1200 hrs (IST) in which Dr. Ruchi Singh Tanwar, Regional Level Guide North, HoD – Tourism and Hotel Management, Bhupal Nobles’ University, Udaipur as eminent Speaker lead the  webinar.  In the webinar, domestic & international shooting places of old and new movies were discussed and a short documentary was also shown to attendees of webinar. The Department of Tourism Management invited all students of MTB(UG), MBA (PG) (Tourism & Travel management) and COSD (TAM) programme to participate in it.

After end of the session, students took the quiz on India through the lens of Cine Tourism. They answered the questions asked on old and new movie shooting places. They received E-certificate for the same. This online session was organized by Dr. Deepika Singh and Dr. Lokesh Sehgal in the respective department.

Purpose: It was meant to impart knowledge about tourism destinations in India through the eyes of cinema.  This activity proved helpful in knowing unexplored Tourism destinations of India. India is a country where ethnicity, practice, culture etc change with every kilometer as one moves from north to south.
