Objective: 

Course Objectives:

1. To understand travel documentation & formalities (like passport, visa, etc), fare construction and airline ticketing procedure (Domestic & International)

Unit I: 

Travel Formalities

• Understand information related to passports, visa, and their procedure to issue, validity, health requirements, taxes, and customs, and currency, insurance and auxiliary services.
• Identify requirements for the above documentation and consequences of
Negligence
• Information on currency regulations

Unit II: 

Travel Manuals
• What is TIM and information included in TIM,
• SPM (Surveillance Procedure Manuals) rules and POE ( Point of Entry ) procedure for Indian nationals
• Introduction to OAG. (Official Airline Guide), Airline terminology (City Code, Airport code, Airline designated Code, global indicator.

Unit III: 

Aeronautics / Air Travel Facilities
• Understand the basics of aircraft operation ( design of aircraft, various parts and their functions)
• Gain knowledge of the procedures while take off,in –flight and while landing.
• Information on different types of Aircraft and their seat configuration
• Understand the interior layout of the air craft and In-flight services.

Unit IV: 

Airport & their Regulations
• Broad information on the outlay of the Airport. Airport Facilities
• Regulations and procedures on departure and arrival at the airport(Airport access, check-in-facility, baggage’s checks, clearance procedure & immigration Process.

Unit V: 

Fare Construction and Ticketing
• Introduction of Air fares, types of fares: Contract and quote normal and special air fares.
• International Ticketing, Reservation procedure, IATA Formula
• Identify major aspects of control & Security of accountable documents. (MCO, PTA, their purpose, Types of Air travel Card, Billing and settlement plan.
